[Salon] Palestine demands end to occupation in first draft resolution submitted to UN General Assembly

FM: John Whitbeck

Transmitted below is a link to a report in AL-QUDS (Jerusalem) on the resolution to be submitted soon to the UN General Assembly advocating compliance by all UN member states with the recent opinion of the International Court of Justice, requested by the UN General Assembly, on the unlawfulness of Israel's presence in the occupied State of Palestine and the requirement in accordance with international law for Israel to end that presence as soon as possible and to pay reparations to the Palestinian people.

It must be expected that Israel, the United States, the usual handful of subservient small-island states in the Pacific and one or two rabidly Zionist governments elsewhere will vote against compliance with international law.

It will be interesting to see, after almost a year of live-streamed genocide, how many states in Europe and the settler-colonial Anglosphere choose to confirm their contempt for international law, human rights and human decency by voting against the resolution or their agnosticism regarding international law, human rights and human decency by abstaining.
